To create your own, save encrypted Wallet Recovery Phrase download one of the 2 EXCEL files to encrypt your 12/15 or 24/27 words recovery seed:
“CryptoWalletProtect_12&15” (Used for 12 or 15 word seeds) or “CryptoWalletProtect_24&27” (Used for 24 or 27 word seeds)
What can you do with it.
- Open the Excel file. You might get a warning in the header. Please accept changes to be made. When you want to check if the file is valid, you might use VirusTotal.com to check.
- On the “InputData” page need to you fill in all required information to get a good result
- Enter a Wallet Name so in case of multiple wallets you can identify the correct one.
- Select a date. It could be any date you can remember as a special date.(If you forget the date, this system will become worthless
- Fill in the original words of the “Wallet Recovery Sentence”. You could use it to store any sequence of information, just use your imagination.
- On the “Print_EncryptedScheme” sheet you find the tables where your Recovery Sentence is shown encrypted. You may print it out.
- For your convenience you may print the table with all the words not encrypted, just as you have put them in originally. Select the sheet “Print_NOTEncryptedScheme” and print the table as you entered it on the “InputData” page.
- Delete or clear all input entered in “InputData” to not leave vital information left on any disk
- Before deleting all information do the exercise to retrieve the Seed. Don’t forget that the number of the month is incremented by 1!!!
The sheet is not protected in any way, so you will be able to modify or improve the system the way you like it. It is not Rocket science, but just a very simple system to understand, though very effective.
